These terms cover your use of C for CV (cforcv.com). By using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
The service
C for CV is a resume and cover letter builder: templates, a live preview, AI-assisted writing tools, PDF/Word export, and optional cloud sync for signed-in accounts. Guest mode requires no account at all; signing in is optional and adds cloud sync plus a few extra AI features.
Your account
If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for what happens under your account. Use a real email address you control — it's how we'd reach you about your account or respond to a data request.
Your content
You own what you put into your resume, cover letters, and saved jobs. You give us permission to store, process, and display that content only as needed to run the service for you — including generating a public share link if you turn that feature on. We don't use your resume content to train AI models, and we don't sell it.
Acceptable use
- Don't use the service for anything unlawful, or to impersonate someone else.
- Don't upload another person's personal data without a legitimate right to do so.
- Don't try to abuse, scrape, or reverse-engineer the app or its AI features beyond normal use.
- Don't attempt to circumvent rate limits or access another account's data.
AI-generated suggestions
AI features are grounded in the information you provide — they're designed never to invent an employer, credential, achievement, or number you haven't already supplied. Even so, you're responsible for reviewing any AI-generated or AI-edited text before using it in a real application; treat every suggestion as a draft, not a finished, verified claim. We don't guarantee any outcome from using C for CV, including whether you get an interview or a job.
Intellectual property
The C for CV app, its templates, design, and branding belong to us. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of that to you — you're licensed to use the app to build your own documents, not to copy the underlying product.
The service is provided "as is"
C for CV is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Ending your use
You can stop using C for CV, or permanently delete your account and all associated data, at any time from Account Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which C for CV is legally established, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
