The cover letter generator works from your resume, not a blank prompt. Paste a job posting and it drafts a letter that names your most relevant role, cites 2-3 concrete specifics from that role's bullets, and echoes the posting's own terminology where it's genuinely true of your work. Have no job posting yet? Skip that step and it writes a general letter instead, using the same resume content.
How it works
- Open a resume you've already built, then choose "New cover letter" from the dashboard — or, right after tailoring a resume to a job posting, accept the follow-up offer to draft a matching cover letter for the same posting.
- Paste the job description if you have one, or skip straight to a general letter.
- Review the draft: an opening naming the role and company (if given), a paragraph grounded in your most relevant experience entry, and a closing that invites next steps.
- Edit anything directly, then copy the text or download it as a PDF using the same font as your resume.
What makes it different
- Grounded only in your resume's actual content — it never invents a skill, employer, or achievement you haven't already listed.
- Echoes a job posting's language only where it's already true of your work, never to imply experience you don't have.
